On the day of the surgery, you’ll be given local anaesthesia by the doctor. Incisions are typically made on the back of the ear, hidden within folds, or inside its natural creases. Internal sutures secure the newly shaped cartilage. External stitches close the incisions, carefully done to preserve natural appearance. Protruding ears are transformed almost immediately which will be visible once dressings are removed with the scars concealed.
